1. Safety first

• Switch off the supply at the isolator before any work on or near the heater.
• Never run the heater before the tank has completely filled with water.
• The pressure and temperature relief valve is a safety device, not an optional fitting. It must be installed, must discharge freely, and must never be blocked, plugged or removed.
• Proper earthing is essential. An unearthed water heater is dangerous.
• Water from a storage heater can be hot enough to scald. Take particular care with children, the elderly and anyone who cannot react quickly.
• If you notice water leaking from the body, a burning smell, a tripping breaker, or a shock or tingle when touching a tap, switch the heater off at the isolator immediately and call for service. Do not keep using it.

2. Installation is not a DIY job

Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician and, where plumbing work is involved, a qualified plumber, in line with the instruction manual supplied with the product and with applicable local rules.

Where we describe insulation, heat retention or running cost, we are describing how the design behaves in general terms. Actual electricity consumption depends on your usage pattern, inlet water temperature, ambient temperature, thermostat setting, water quality, installation quality and local tariff. We do not guarantee a particular saving, a particular bill, or a particular heat-up time in your home.

6. Not professional advice

Warranty and service apply only to genuine TEJVAAN products bought from an authorised dealer or authorised online channel. We cannot support a product we did not make, and a counterfeit appliance carrying our name may not have the safety fittings ours does.
