Return and refund policy

Last revised 26 Jul 2026 · NEW GARG ELECTRICALS, Plot No. 373, Industrial Area Phase-2, Chandigarh 160002

1. Where you bought it matters

TEJVAAN does not sell directly to consumers from this website. Every unit is bought either from a dealer or through a marketplace listing, and that is who holds the sale contract with you. Your return rights sit with them.

That does not mean we walk away. Where a dealer is being unreasonable, or the product is genuinely defective, contact us and we will get involved. But knowing who to approach first saves a great deal of time.

2. Bought from a shop or dealer

Returns and exchanges are governed by that shop's policy, which is why it is worth asking about before you pay. Most electrical retailers will exchange an unopened, unused product within a few days of purchase, and most will not accept a return once the unit has been installed.

To give yourself the best position:

  • Keep the invoice, the carton and all packaging until you are certain the product is right.
  • Inspect the unit before the installer starts. Once it is fitted to a wall and plumbed in, a return becomes an exchange conversation rather than a return.
  • Raise any problem quickly. A complaint on day two is straightforward; the same complaint on day thirty is much harder for everyone.

3. Bought from an online marketplace

Where a TEJVAAN product was bought through a marketplace listing, that platform's return window and process apply, and a return is raised through the platform rather than with us. Those windows are usually short, so check the product on arrival rather than storing it for the season.

4. Damaged, wrong or incomplete on arrival

This is the situation we take responsibility for, whoever sold it.

If the unit arrives dented, cracked, leaking, missing parts, or is simply not the model on the invoice, do not install it. Installing a damaged unit converts a straightforward replacement into a disputed claim.

  1. Photograph the carton, the damage and the invoice before anything is moved.
  2. Tell the dealer or platform the same day, or the next working day at the latest.
  3. Contact us on +91 70093 25774 or [email protected] with the photographs, so we have a record from the start.

Transit damage has a short reporting window everywhere. Once a delivery has been accepted and time has passed, nobody in the chain — dealer, transporter or manufacturer — can establish where the damage occurred. Report it immediately and you are almost always covered. Report it three weeks later and you probably are not.

5. What cannot be returned

  • A unit that has been installed, plumbed or used, unless it is genuinely defective
  • A unit damaged after delivery, by handling, dropping or incorrect installation
  • A unit where the packaging, rating plate or serial number has been removed or defaced
  • A product that turns out to be the wrong capacity for your household. Please use the size guide before buying, because this is the most common reason people want to exchange and it is avoidable
  • Change of mind after installation
  • Products bought from an unauthorised seller, where we cannot verify the chain of supply

6. How refunds are made

Since the sale contract is with the dealer or platform, the refund comes from them, by the method you originally paid with. Timelines are theirs, though most bank refunds settle within five to seven working days once approved.

Where we have replaced a unit under warranty, no refund arises — the remedy is repair or replacement, which is set out in the warranty terms.

7. Returns are not the same as warranty

These get confused constantly, so to be plain about it:

ReturnWarranty
When Days after purchase, before or immediately after installation Any time within the warranty period
Who The dealer or platform that sold it TEJVAAN, through our service network
Outcome Refund or exchange Repair or replacement of the defective part
Covers Wrong item, damage on arrival, unused change of mind within the shop's window Manufacturing defects only

A geyser that has worked for eight months and then developed a fault is a warranty matter, not a return. A geyser that arrived dented last Tuesday is a return, not a warranty claim.

8. If you are stuck

If a dealer is refusing something you think is reasonable, tell us. We appoint our dealers and we would rather know when one is treating a customer badly.

Call +91 70093 25774 or email [email protected] with your invoice and the dealer's name. We will look into it.

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. If we have not resolved a complaint to your satisfaction, you may contact the National Consumer Helpline on 1915, or the consumer commission having jurisdiction over your district.
