TEJVAAN AQUA

The everyday workhorse

TEJVAAN AQUA is the model most homes actually need: a properly insulated 4 bar tank with the same safety fittings as our premium series, at the price point where most geysers are bought. Available in vertical and horizontal mounting.

Why this model

Built for the normal Indian bathroom

The same safety fittings as the ELITE

Capillary thermostat with an independent thermal cut-out, and a pressure release valve. We did not hold basic safety back for the premium model — those are common across the range. What the ELITE adds is the glass lining, the anode rod and the 8 bar tank.

Horizontal mounting available

Where a false ceiling or a narrow bathroom rules out a vertical unit, the horizontal variants fit the same capacities without compromising the tank.

High-density PUF insulation

The layer that decides your monthly bill. Water stays hot overnight, so the element cycles less often.

Straightforward to service

Accessible element and fittings, so routine descaling is a normal service job rather than an ordeal. Note this model is not fitted with an anode rod — if your water is hard, read the comparison before deciding.

Inside the unit

What you are actually paying for

Tap any part to see what it does and why it matters. Most geyser failures trace back to one of these six components.

4 bar IN OUT

1Outer body

Powder-coated steel outer shell. Its job is to protect the insulation and survive a decade in a damp bathroom without rusting through.

2High-density PUF insulation

The layer that decides your electricity bill. Thicker, denser foam holds heat overnight, so the element switches on less often. Thin insulation is the most common place a cheap geyser saves money.

3Inner tank

Steel tank rated to 4 bar, suitable for normal domestic supply. In hard-water areas expect descaling once or twice a season. If your building uses a pressure pump, or your water is hard, the glass-lined ELITE tank is the one worth looking at.

4Copper heating element

Copper element. Scale from hard water is what kills elements — it coats the surface until heat cannot escape and the element cooks itself, which is why descaling is maintenance rather than a fault.

5No anode rod on this model

This model is not fitted with an anode rod; the ELITE is. If your water is hard, that difference matters more than anything else on this page.

6Thermostat and thermal cut-out

Two independent devices, deliberately. The thermostat manages normal temperature; the cut-out is a separate safety that trips if the first one ever fails. One failure should never become a hazard.

Running cost

What it costs to actually use

A geyser's price is paid once. Its electricity is paid every month for a decade. This works out roughly what yours would add to the bill, using your own tariff.

Indicative only. Real consumption depends on inlet water temperature, how hard your water is, thermostat setting and usage pattern.

per month, roughly
units per month

Assumes heating from about 20 °C to 60 °C. Insulation quality changes this materially — a well-insulated tank reheats less.

Before you install

  • Installation by a qualified electrician, with correct earthing.
  • If your supply pressure exceeds 4 bar, fit a pressure reducing valve.
  • Never switch on before the tank is full.
  • Where water is hard, plan periodic descaling — it is maintenance, not a fault.
